Both math groups will take their math final on Monday and Tuesday.  Practice your fraction and decimal computation. Our review pages will also be helpful in preparing for the exam.

We completed our science final on Friday.  Grades have been posted on Powerschool.

The guidelines for the Religion final are below.  I can’t wait to read your responses.

Our awards ceremony will begin at 9:30 on Thursday. We will leave at about 12:30 for our skating trip.  Remember your $6.00 for skating.  We will also have some time in the mall food court for a snack. Dress for Thursday is jeans and a spirit shirt.

Friday is our Completion Mass.  Dress for the Mass is our regular school uniform. A reception will follow Mass, and we will change and play Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy for a final time.

Mrs. Winchester and I have really enjoyed working with all of you this year.  You were a creative, hard working, and fun group.  Thanks for everything!

Religion Final Essay

For your final exam in religion, you will write an essay on one of the topics listed below.  Your essay should be close to one page in length.  If you choose to type your essay, it should be double spaced.  This essay should be your work only.  You may use your Bible as a reference.  Be sure that you support your statements.  Proof-read your answer and use paragraphs appropriately.

Choice 1:  In chapters 8 and 9 of Matthew we read several accounts of Jesus healing people.  What do these stories teach you about Jesus?

Choice 2:  What are some of the qualities that Jesus seems to require of his followers?  What does it mean to be “willing to take up your cross” and follow Jesus?  (Matthew 10:38)

Choice 3:  Luke gives two accounts of Jesus choosing his disciples (5:1-11; 5:27-32). How are these stories similar?  How are they different?  What do they show about the kind of teacher Jesus was?

Choice 4:  We have learned about God and our relationship with God this year through our study of the Bible.  What is the most important thing that you have learned in your study of the Bible?

Choice 5:  What command did Jesus give to Peter in the Gospel of Luke? (21:15-19) What does this mean for Jesus’ followers today?
